Here’s the last commercial I have been working on with my US representatives, BENT Image Lab.

I don’t usually work on 3D but this commercial was a good excuse to start.

It is maybe a bit far from my usual “unpolished” look, but hey, variety is the spice of life!

J'AI PAS LE TEMPS (I have no time)

I have been working on this piece for more than two months, full time. It is a video clip in which I experimented some new techniques, and improved old techniques I had already used in previous works. The project was commissioned by french singer Gabi, and co-produced by Cube Creative (Paris) and my company here in Madrid, Dreamlife Studio.

ANIMATED SPOT FOR OSCILLOCOCCINUM

This is a spot I've made last year for the French market. Even if it has not been released yet, I got the ok from the Production Company to post the spot on my online portfolio. Two huge graphic prints (already displayed in some parts of France), also form part of this campaign.

The product (Oscillococcinum, from Laboratoires Boiron, France) is an homeopathic medicine against flu symptoms.

OSCILLO´s GRAPHIC CAMPAIGN IN PARIS

I have been in Paris a couple of weeks ago, and had the chance to see the Oscillo´s shop window graphic campaign I've been working on during the last summer.

Here are a couple of pictures of the designs, before their display on pharmacies.

During the next weeks the TV animated spot (also part of the same campaign) will be finally released. I´ll keep you posted about it.

ITALY

I have spent a few days in Italy, amazed by its beauty and by how mild and pleasant can the November weather be.

A few years ago I have written (and started to work on) a project about Leonardo da Vinci that takes place in Florence, but the truth is that I had never been there before.

So I got a train ticket and headed to Florence. I wandered aimlessly around its narrow streets and along the Arno River, taking pictures to use as graphic references, visiting some buildings I had described in my story and admiring the beauty of Tuscany´s autumn.

The landscape was as beautiful as I had imagined it. It was great to walk along the streets and parks I had written about, imagining the characters of my story coming to life in that scenario.

Being there made those characters become real, and I had the feeling of being in places where the situations that I made up had actually taken place.

These kind of feelings are the ones that push me to discover new places and write new stories. For me, traveling is a huge source of inspiration.

Great review of “A Short Love Story in Stop Motion” by Steve Weiss and Philip Bloom

It was a great surprise to know that the short film has been featured and reviewed at the last webisode of “Critics”, a film-review website hosted by Steve Weiss and Philip Bloom.

Here´s the entire clip. The short film appears at the end, though the entire episode is worth watching.
